The Andaman would provide you with beautiful waterfalls that no other island has, they are namely: - White surf waterfall is a exquisite place of attraction, which is also named by the locals as the “little waterfall”. To visit the fall one can collect the tickets from a check point where you reach through passing off a jungle even this defines good adventure. The fall can be reached via passing small streams through bridges.
- Whisper wave waterfall, this is a diamond hidden inside the dense cover of the jungle. The waterfall can be only reached after crossing this cover adding to this is only during summer months i.e. February and March. A guide is very necessary to reach the waterfall de to the critical way but this adventure is of real excitement that one could ever experience.
Garnish of the Palm Trees…
Little Andaman Island is also famous for its unique palm trees vegetation which is not found anywhere else in the other Islands. The forest cover is great to enjoy but precautions must surely be taken care of from the thorns of the plants. The plants in the jungle are full of thorny bushes and can cause any skin reactions if they touch the skin. Hence take care.
Other Activities…
The Island gives you an opportunity to explore the beaches as well. Also have local fishing experience though the boats which take you to the other part of the Island from the Hut Bay. The stay is very great at the resorts and Hotels which are present on the Island. Camping is although banned on the Island beaches but one can surely have an adventurous stay at night if you have a good and a safe mosquito net. As sand flies and mosquitos are a great issue on the biodiverse island group.
Conveyance
Don’t give up your thought to visit the Southern Tip thinking of heavy conveyance, it is as easy as possible. Ferries arrive on a daily basis at Hut Bay from the Capital i.e. Port Blair. There stands two choices even among this- the slow/ big ferries which would give you ample time to enjoy the ride for about 8.5hours packaged with complete weather reliefs. The second option stands at speed boats this would take approximately 6hours and would thrill you up with adventure and excitement. But the second option might give you little issues if the weather is bad. So be careful with your choice!
Also to visit the forests you need to get a permit, otherwise the usual permit will get you through the islands easily.
So when you are tired off touring the whole of the Andaman Island groups at last you can have a peaceful stay at the Little Andaman and enjoy the Palm Beaches and the serenity of the quiet island.
